CrazyGames is excited to announce the launch of its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, starting this week from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day developer event, in partnership with Photon, invites indie developers from around the world to dive into a global game development marathon focused on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the jam will have the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes along with premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to let their creativity flourish and innovate freely.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to offer players seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, CrazyGames will support participants throughout the event and offer winners the opportunity to have their games published on the platform.
A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, where attendees can gain insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform.”
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all skill levels. For more information and to sign up, please visit the official jam page.
