Cyberpunk 2077 receives a significant update (2.21) from CD Projekt RED, incorporating DLSS 4 technology and numerous bug fixes.
GeForce RTX 50 series users will benefit from DLSS 4, boosting frame rates significantly starting January 30th. This technology also enhances performance on RTX 40 series cards, generating extra frames while reducing memory consumption. A choice between the convolutional neural network and the new transform model is now available for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA across all GeForce RTX cards. The transform model promises superior lighting, detail, and image stability.
Update 2.21 also addresses several issues:
- Resolved: Inability to interact with certain vendors.
- Resolved: Missing or low volume in TV news audio.
- Resolved: Infrequent appearance of Johnny Silverhand in the passenger seat.
- Resolved: Disappearance of items when hiding nearby characters.
- Resolved: Game freezes when simultaneously entering photo mode and accessing a closet or stash.
- Enhanced: Photo Mode now allows placement of Nibbles and Adam Smasher even when V is in the air or water.
- Improved: Adam Smasher's facial expression adjustments. DLSS ray reconstruction interference and crashes have also been fixed, and the "Frame Creation" parameter now functions correctly after disabling resolution scaling.
