Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impacts

Valve continues its surprise-and-delight approach to Deadlock updates, releasing a small but impactful patch affecting four heroes and several items. This marks the fifth update of 2025 and the first for February. The developers have shifted to an on-demand update schedule, releasing patches as needed rather than adhering to a fixed timeline.

Calico suffered significant nerfs. Her Return to Shadows ability received a substantial cooldown increase (ten seconds) and a 20% speed reduction shifted to tier 2. Leaping Slash's damage at tier 2 was also decreased.

Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though specifics weren't detailed.

Item adjustments include a reduction in Ammo Scavenger stacks and the removal of its health bonus. Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer boost fire rate and weapon damage, respectively.

This flexible update approach allows Valve to address balance issues and implement improvements as they arise, ensuring a dynamic and responsive gameplay experience.
