State of Decay 3 is unlikely to come out before 2026

Gaming insider Jez Corden, in a recent Xbox Two podcast appearance, projected a 2026 release for State of Decay 3. While Undead Labs initially aimed for a 2025 launch, Corden suggests an early 2026 debut is now more realistic.

Corden indicated that development is further along than publicly perceived, although he refrained from offering specifics. This news may disappoint fans, yet it's a more positive timeline than previous speculation pointing to a 2027 release.

June 2024 saw the release of a new trailer, highlighting intense zombie shootouts and Mad Max-style vehicular combat within a post-apocalyptic setting.

The narrative will unfold years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing and defending fortified settlements against relentless undead hordes.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles. The previous installment launched in 2018.
