MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Opens Pre-Registration Globally

Japanese game publisher A Plus has launched pre-registration for Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. The global release for the anime-inspired MMORPG is set for October 2025. Developed by Shanghai Bokura Network Technology, the game is also beginning its Closed Beta Test for PC today.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is deeply inspired by the original Blue Protocol. For those unfamiliar, the original launched in Japan in 2023.

Regrettably, it was shut down just one year later due to challenges in sustaining a large player base. The servers were taken offline in January 2024, and the planned international release was scrapped.

Still, this new version, titled Star Resonance, marks a powerful revival of the franchise. This time, A Plus is determined to get it right from the start.

Set in the world of Magna, the game features mines to explore for rare crystals, herbs, and mushrooms. Players will also face sudden monster stampedes and must survive. You can wield shields as a tank, cast radiant healing spells, or deal high damage using skill-based abilities.

The game allows you to switch playstyles based on the situation. The extensive customization system lets you craft unique outfits to stand out in bustling towns.

There’s also plenty of downtime content. Enjoy fishing by rivers, dancing at festivals, and setting off fireworks—all part of the experience. Multiplayer raids will be a major highlight, complete with challenging bosses.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance pre-registration is now live
