When diving into the challenging world of *The First Berserker: Khazan*, a game firmly entrenched in the Soulslike genre, players are met with formidable adversaries from the outset. Despite being your initial encounter with a boss, the fight against Yetuga is no walk in the park. After familiarizing yourself with the intricate mechanics of the combat system in *The First Berserker: Khazan*, you'll need to leverage every skill at your disposal to emerge victorious.

Yetuga is an aggressive beast, relentlessly attacking when its territory is threatened. Positioned at the end of the Mount Heinmach level, this boss is equipped with a variety of both long and short-range attacks, including a fearsome leaping slam. To overcome Yetuga, you must master the art of dodging and parrying to minimize damage.

Yetuga's arsenal includes:

  • A two-hit combo starting with a left-handed smash downward followed by a right-handed uppercut.
  • A four-hit combo consisting of horizontal swipes with either its left or right arm.
  • A powerful downward smash with both arms.
  • A leaping single-handed smash.
  • A jumping grab.
  • A charge attack.

Throughout the battle, you'll need to observe and learn Yetuga's attack patterns, striking back during the brief windows between its assaults. Utilizing parries effectively can inflict significant Stamina damage on Yetuga, particularly useful against all attacks except the jumping grab. Exploit Yetuga's aggressive nature by baiting its charge into a wall, which will momentarily stun it and leave it vulnerable to your attacks. This is your opportunity to target and destroy the ice spikes on its back, thereby reducing its overall attack strength.

In the second phase of the fight, you can parry all attacks except the grab, which not only helps in saving your Stamina but also in maintaining offensive pressure. Once Yetuga roars and powers up, indicating the transition to its second phase, create some distance to prepare for its new attacks.

Yetuga will then grab a giant rock to smash towards you; timing your dodge or parry perfectly is crucial to avoid damage. Additionally, it will start using a frost breath attack that generates ice spikes. You can either evade or parry this when it's close enough. Seize moments to unleash Potent Attacks, and when Yetuga becomes exhausted, execute a Brutal Attack to deal significant damage. With persistence and strategic play, Yetuga will soon be defeated.

Upon defeating Yetuga, you will be rewarded with 4,800 Lacrima, along with Frozen Mountain gear items and the Necklace of Resolve, acknowledging your hard-fought victory.

This guide provides all the essential strategies needed to conquer Yetuga in *The First Berserker: Khazan*. For further assistance with the game, explore resources available on The Escapist.
