Dune Awakening Trailer Released, Unveils Official Release Date

The upcoming survival MMO, Dune: Awakening, is generating considerable buzz, fueled by the success of Denis Villeneuve's film adaptations. Developer Funcom has confirmed a May 20th PC release date, with console versions to follow. A new gameplay trailer showcases the game's key features.

The trailer highlights the harsh Arrakisian desert landscape, base-building mechanics, intense combat encounters, and the iconic sandworms—all quintessential elements of the Dune universe.

Players will assume the role of a prisoner on Arrakis, tasked with escaping captivity and unraveling the mystery surrounding the vanished Fremen.

To facilitate a smooth launch, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and a character creator. This pre-release functionality enables players to optimize their settings and craft their characters ahead of the game's official release.
