Dungeon & Fighter: Arad is the DNF franchise\'s pitch into the world of open-world adventure

by Gabriel Dec 20,2024

Nexon's flagship franchise, Dungeon & Fighter, is expanding with a new title: Dungeon & Fighter: Arad. This departure from the series' traditional dungeon-crawling formula introduces a 3D open-world adventure.

First revealed during The Game Awards, the debut trailer showcased a vibrant world and a diverse cast of characters, many speculated to be evolved classes from previous DNF games.

Dungeon & Fighter: Arad promises open-world exploration, dynamic combat, and a wide array of character classes. A strong narrative focus is also emphasized, featuring new characters, engaging interactions, and intriguing puzzles.

Beyond the Familiar Dungeons

The trailer's aesthetic hints at a style reminiscent of MiHoYo's successful games. While the visuals are impressive, the significant shift from the series' established gameplay might concern longtime fans. However, Nexon's significant marketing push, including prominent advertising at The Game Awards, suggests considerable confidence in Arad's potential.
