Marvel Contest of Champions is gearing up for an exciting April, introducing the thrilling new champion, Spider-Woman, alongside a diverse range of updates and events. Let's dive into what's coming up!

Here’s the Backstory of Spider-Woman in the World of Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, whose real name is Jessica Drew, had a life-altering experience as a child when she was exposed to uranium near her home. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a concoction of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the experiment's initial adverse effects but also emerged with spider-like powers, ultimately becoming the superhero known as Spider-Woman. You'll be able to add this formidable champion to your roster in MCOC starting April 17th.

However, before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another intriguing champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as one of their most lethal assassins, Lumatrix is equipped with dazzling light powers, making him a formidable force for infiltration and elimination.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with Carina suffering severe injuries after an encounter with Ouroborus forces. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom is seen collaborating with the Fantastic Four as the menacing Chronoserpent corruption spreads rapidly. A new antagonist, Lotan, also emerges to stir the pot.

Adding to the excitement, a new Event Quest named "Spy Games" will kick off on April 9th and continue until May 7th. Black Widow takes the lead in investigating the enigmatic Eidols and recruits Spider-Woman to assist in unraveling the mystery.

Fans of Dark Phoenix will be thrilled to know she's returning in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties." She has placed bounties on several Champions, challenging you to track them down and claim your rewards.

The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector is making a comeback, offering players the chance to assemble their strongest Saga champions and battle through for valuable rewards such as Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
