Epic Games has officially unveiled the new Battle Pass skins for the upcoming season of Fortnite, marking the arrival of Chapter 6, Season 1—titled Wanted.

Breaking from tradition, this season drops the codename and goes straight to an official title. The theme? High-stakes heists. Expect a world filled with gun-toting villains, gold-loaded getaway vans, and explosive bank vaults—all wrapped in the adrenaline-fueled atmosphere of a blockbuster robbery.

The season kicks off on February 21 and introduces a major collaboration with one of gaming’s most iconic franchises—Mortal Kombat. This partnership brings Sub-Zero into the fold as a Battle Pass exclusive character. As expected, the season's heist storyline blends seamlessly with the dark, intense energy of the Mortal Kombat universe.

This collaboration also supports the promotional rollout of Mortal Kombat 2, the highly anticipated sequel film starring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.

Each Battle Pass skin can be purchased individually using V-Bucks, Fortnite’s premium currency, at the standard price of 1,500 V-Bucks per character.

Confirmed returning weapons include the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. While other weapon returns remain unconfirmed, fans are hopeful. Looking back at Chapter 4 Season 4—the previous heist-themed season—many speculate that the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, Tommy Gun, and even the Grappler might make a comeback. However, until Epic confirms it, these remain rumors.

One of the most exciting updates arriving this season is Smart Building, a quality-of-life improvement that intelligently predicts which structure you want to build based on your aim direction—streamlining combat and construction like never before.

In line with the heist theme, gameplay mechanics have been refreshed. Traditional keycard-based objectives have been replaced with vault breaches, requiring players to use Meltanite—Fortnite’s version of thermite—to blast through secure vault doors and access high-value loot inside. It's a dynamic twist that promises more strategic play and rewarding endgame moments.

Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches.
