Fortnite's new Reload mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode pits 40 players on a smaller map packed with classic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row.
What's in Reload Mode?
This mode emphasizes squad survival. A full squad wipe means elimination; there are no respawns. Whether you prefer Battle Royale or Zero Build, the goal remains the same: be the last squad standing.
Reload mode features a compact island, no vehicles, and a treasure trove of unvaulted weapons. Expect to find old favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.
Victory Crowns are still in play. Reboots are possible, but you'll return with only a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds intensity, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 as the match progresses, though eliminating enemies shortens this time.
Elimination and Strategy
Elimination isn't the end. Fallen players drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the fight intense and resource-driven.
Rewarding Challenges
Complete a series of intro quests for impressive XP rewards and cosmetic items:
- Three quests: Digital Dogfight Contrail
- Six quests: Pool Cubes Wrap
- Nine quests: NaNa Bath Back Bling
- Victory Royale: The Rezzbrella Glider
