Fortnite is gearing up for an epic intergalactic adventure as it unveils its next major update — Galactic Battle — set to launch on May 2, 2025. This massive season brings with it a full Star Wars-themed experience that promises to immerse players in the iconic universe like never before.
The big reveal came straight from Star Wars Celebration, where fans were treated to a first look at what’s coming. The new season will include a Star Wars-themed Battle Pass, a five-part unfolding saga, and even the introduction of Darth Jar Jar into the Fortnite Battle Royale universe — a twist as surprising as it is exciting.
Alongside this, players can also look forward to the inclusion of Force Lightning as a powerful in-game ability, adding a new layer of strategy and fun to combat.

In addition to the themed Battle Pass, players will be able to unlock characters such as Emperor Palpatine, along with unique mashups like the adorable Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader. The Item Shop will also see a variety of new Star Wars-themed cosmetics, including Mace Windu, and more surprises yet to be revealed.
Gamers will get the chance to take control of iconic vehicles such as X-Wings and TIE Fighters, either solo or with a teammate as pilot and co-pilot. The map will also receive a full Star Wars transformation, featuring themed locations that bring the galaxy far, far away right into the battlefield.
