New Game Announced by Streets of Rage 4 Developers

Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has announced the launch of Absolum—a thrilling fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite elements. Set in the enchanting yet ravaged world of Talamh, the narrative unfolds following a devastating magical cataclysm. The residents of Talamh live in fear of magic, a sentiment that the tyrannical ruler, King-Sun Azra, manipulates to oppress mages through his fearsome Crimson Order. Against this backdrop of oppression, a valiant group of heroes emerges to challenge Azra's rule. This courageous ensemble includes the necromancer Galandra, the rebellious gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr.

Gamers can look forward to a heart-pounding experience with a focus on intense action, customizable abilities, potent combos, and enchanting spells. Absolum offers both single-player and cooperative gameplay modes, encouraging players to team up, blend their attacks, and synchronize their strikes to unleash devastating combinations that can turn the tide of battle.

Enhancing the immersive experience, the game's soundtrack is being composed by a trio of legendary musicians: Gareth Coker, celebrated for his work on Ori and Halo Infinite; Yuka Kitamura, renowned for her contributions to Dark Souls and Elden Ring; and Mick Gordon, the mastermind behind the soundscapes of DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart.

Absolum is scheduled for release in 2025, and will be available on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, promising to deliver a rich and engaging gaming experience to a wide audience.
