Google Play Store Might Soon Auto-Launch Installed Apps For You

Google Play Store may soon introduce a feature to automatically launch newly installed apps. This potential addition, discovered through an APK teardown, could streamline the app installation process, eliminating the need to manually locate and open downloaded apps.

The Details:

According to Android Authority, the feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," will be entirely optional. Users can enable or disable it based on their preference. Upon successful app download, a notification banner will briefly appear (approximately 5 seconds) at the top of the screen, possibly accompanied by a sound or vibration, ensuring visibility even during other activities.

Important Note:

This information is based on an APK analysis of Play Store version 41.4.19 and is not yet officially confirmed by Google. There is no official release date available at this time. We will update you as soon as more details are announced.

In other news, the Hyper Light Drifter Special Edition has finally arrived on Android, following its iOS release.
