A game developer's resume hints at a potential surprise: Gotham Knights could be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Let's dive into the details.
Gotham Knights: Nintendo Switch 2 Bound?
A Resume Reveals a Clue
On January 5th, 2025, YouTuber Doctre81 sparked speculation that Gotham Knights might launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. The source? A game developer's resume, showcasing past work on Gotham Knights for two currently unannounced platforms.
This developer, formerly with QLOC (2018-2023), listed various titles including Mortal Kombat 11 and Tales of Vesperia. The intriguing part? The inclusion of Gotham Knights, specifically mentioning its development for two yet-to-be-released consoles.
One platform could be the original Nintendo Switch, given a previous ESRB rating. However, performance issues on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S might have impacted a direct port. The second unannounced platform strongly suggests the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Remember, this is all based on an unconfirmed resume. No official word from Warner Bros. Games or Nintendo yet.
A Past ESRB Rating and its Disappearance
Initially released in October 2022 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X, Gotham Knights reportedly received an ESRB rating for the original Nintendo Switch. This fueled rumors of a Switch release and potential appearance in a Nintendo Direct.
Despite the rating, an official announcement never materialized, and the ESRB listing was subsequently removed. Could this be a precursor to a Switch 2 release?
