Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii introduces two unique combat styles for Goro Majima. His swashbuckling "Sea Dog" pirate technique features four devastating crowd-clearing finishers, though acquiring all Dark Instruments requires significant effort.
How To Get The Dark God's Violin in Pirate Yakuza
The Dark God's Violin serves as the first mandatory Dark Instrument, unlocked during Chapter 2 when Jason directs the crew to meet an old friend. This encounter leads to the Devil Flag pirates, who murdered Jason's ally and stole the priceless Pharoh Stone.
Players then meet Misaki, the vengeful daughter of Jason's slain friend who joins the crew. This triggers a side quest leading to islands east of Madlantis, where players face an enhanced Devil Flag fleet.
Concentrate attacks on the flagship to board it, then defeat enemies to claim the Dark God's Violin. The game immediately lets players test this new finisher in a 100-enemy island brawl.
Victory unlocks a cutscene introducing the Devil Flag captains - Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus - who challenge the crew. While optional for the main story, defeating them is essential for collecting all Dark Instruments.
How To Get The Dark God's Ocarina in Pirate Yakuza
After the initial battles, Devil Flag markers appear across the seas. Accumulate 70 flags from skirmishes to unlock Atali Island, where waves of enemies guard the Dark God's Ocarina.
Prepare a strong landing party for Atali Island's challenging battles. After defeating Captain Yakuza and his crew, the Ocarina becomes yours.

How To Get The Dark God's Guitar in Pirate Yakuza
Captain Yakuza's betrayal leads to another 100-enemy brawl - the perfect opportunity to test your new Ocarina. The crew then learns of Zeus heading to Flame Island.
This gauntlet requires a three-star crew rating and 130 Devil Flags. Target pirate ships whenever spotted to accumulate enough flags.
The Flame Entrance Lighthouse triggers four challenging treasure islands (Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, Scorching Heat) where health items are disabled. Ensure your team is fully upgraded before attempting.
After conquering the islands, focus on the flagship during the fleet battle. Boarding it leads to Flame Island, where you'll face Captain Ronin.
Bring Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima for the final Flame Island battles. Use your acquired Instruments to defeat Ronin and claim the Dark God's Guitar.
How To Get The Dark God's Saxophone in Pirate Yakuza
The final instrument requires Pirate Rank Four and 220 Devil Flags. Progress through story missions, side content, and crew recruitment to reach the required rank.
The Frost Entrance Lighthouse cutscene precedes battles with four islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, Glacial) and Captain Shinobi's fleet guarding the approach.
Following the island battles, you'll face waves of pirates in a cave before reaching the recovery area. The final confrontation with Captain Shinobi on Frost Island follows similar patterns to previous Devil Flag encounters.
After defeating Shinobi, Zeus kidnaps Misaki in a cutscene, concluding the island segment with Goro obtaining the final Dark Instrument.
The optional final battle against Zeus presents the game's toughest challenge, requiring nearly maxed upgrades. While unnecessary for instrument collection, it provides narrative closure.
This completes the collection of all Dark Instruments in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
