"Guide to Obtaining Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in WoW"

by Nathan Apr 01,2025

Navigating the vast world of World of Warcraft on a majestic mount is undoubtedly one of the game's most thrilling experiences. Among the coveted mounts, the Stormcrow known as Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, stands out as a particularly fancy addition to any player's collection. Named after the Siren Isle zone introduced in the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, obtaining Thrayir involves engaging with the dynamic Storm event that sweeps across the island. Here's a detailed guide on how to secure this stunning flying mount.

How to Get Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in World of Warcraft

Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren Mount in World of Warcraft

To embark on the quest for Thrayir, players must collect five distinct Runekeys during the Storm event on Siren Isle. Each Runekey has its own unique method of acquisition:

  • Whirling Runekey: This key is dropped by the rare spawn enemy, Ksvir the Forgotten, located in the southernmost room of the Forgotten Vault. Visiting the Vault during a Storm increases the chance of Ksvir spawning, and he almost always drops the Whirling Runekey upon defeat.
  • Torrential Runekey: Players can obtain this key by gathering seven Torrential Fragments from any enemy on Siren Isle during a Storm phase.
  • Thunderous Runekey: To acquire this key, collect five Thunderous Fragments from any chest around Siren Isle. Note that these fragments can be found even if the chest's location is not currently experiencing a Storm.
  • Cyclonic Runekey: This key can be obtained by fishing anywhere on Siren Isle during a Storm phase or as a potential drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.
  • Turbulent Runekey: Construct this key by finding three Turbulent Fragments at specific locations near Kul Tiran ghosts:
    • Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
    • Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole zone, where a ghost is cowering.
    • Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where a ghost offers the fragment as a tribute.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7 Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren Stormcrow Mount

Once all five Runekeys are in your possession, return to the Forgotten Vault on Siren Isle, but only during the Seafury Tempest phase of the Storm event. Entering the Vault during any other phase will not allow you to proceed with the ritual. Navigate to the eastern room of the map, where you'll find Thrayir's body on a platform surrounded by five runestones. Insert each corresponding Runekey into the slots, triggering a quest called "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Complete the quest, and the magnificent Stormcrow mount will be added to your inventory, ready to soar through the skies of Azeroth.
