Healing Guide for Dynasty Warriors Origins

by Chloe May 20,2025

For players diving into *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, taking damage is almost a given, regardless of your skill level or the chosen difficulty. Newcomers to the franchise will quickly find themselves in need of knowing how to heal. Fortunately, the process is simple and straightforward, with the game offering a special consumable item for health restoration. Additionally, an auto-healing feature is available, which can be a boon for those who prefer not to constantly monitor their health bar.

How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, healing is facilitated through the use of meat buns, which can be discovered by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, there's a chance that defeated Enemy Officers might drop meat buns, though this is exclusive to the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings. On the more challenging Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties, you won't see meat buns dropped by officers.

To restore health during battle, players can consume a meat bun by pressing Up on the D-Pad, provided they have at least one in their inventory. If your inventory is full upon collecting a meat bun, it will be automatically consumed unless your health is already at maximum, in which case it remains on the ground. Initially, you're limited to carrying three meat buns, but you can expand this capacity with the Meat Bun Glutton skill if three isn't cutting it for you.

For those who prefer a hands-off approach to healing, enabling the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu is the way to go. This feature automatically uses meat buns when your health dips below a set threshold. Even with auto-use enabled, players retain the ability to manually consume meat buns, making it a flexible option for all play styles.
