Healing Methods in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
There are several ways to heal and regain health in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and I’ve listed them all below:
Eating food or drinking alcohol Using a Marigold Decoction potion Getting adequate sleep
These methods might seem simple, but they can be tricky under certain conditions. I'll explain each approach in more detail in the following sections.
Eating Food and Drinking Alcohol
You can gradually recover lost health by consuming fresh food or alcohol after taking damage. Keep in mind that if your Nourishment level is already at 100, eating more food will trigger the Overfed debuff, reducing your maximum Stamina.
Additionally, if Henry is already full, you won't be able to eat anything, leaving you with low health unless you have another way to restore HP.
Drinking alcohol can help with healing, but it may also cause you to become Drunk. This isn't always negative, especially since you can unlock perks that offer advantages even while intoxicated.
Using Healing Potions
As in the original game, you can recover health by brewing and drinking a Marigold Decoction potion. However, you'll need to gather the necessary ingredients and prepare the potion yourself, so it's wise to keep some in your inventory.
Sleeping to Restore Health
You can also heal by resting and sleeping in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This is easier said than done, since you can't simply sleep in someone else's bed without permission—doing so may be reported as a crime unless you can persuade the owner otherwise.
You may come across campsites and hay beds in the open world, though the rest quality there is lower than in a proper bed.
I strongly recommend renting a bed at a local inn during the night. If you're still in the early stages of the game and attending the wedding, you can also visit the miller or blacksmith as part of the main quest to secure a job and a bed of your own.
Using Bandages to Stop Bleeding
It's important to note that you can bleed out in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. If you sustain significant slash damage, you might receive a Bleeding debuff, which steadily drains your health and severely hampers your combat effectiveness.
If you're bleeding, use a Bandage from your inventory to treat Henry's wounds and remove the debuff.
