The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to be a groundbreaking event for mobile esports. With PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang already confirmed, the summer showdown in Riyadh promises top-tier talent and massive prize pools. Now, Honor of Kings is joining the fray, and it's going all out.
As part of a three-year partnership with EWC, the Honor of Kings World Cup is making a grand return with a staggering $3 million prize pool and an expanded format that brings more teams and more thrilling action to the table. The competition kicks off on July 15th and runs through the 26th, featuring 18 teams from around the globe, including powerhouses from the King Pro League and Asian Champions League.
The event begins with 16 teams in the Group Stage, split into four double-elimination brackets. Only the top squad from each group will qualify directly for the Playoffs, while the second-place finishers enter a Last Chance bracket to compete for the final two spots.
Matches during these rounds will be played in best-of-three and best-of-five formats, building momentum toward the Playoffs where the KPL and ACL champions await. The final stage, scheduled for August 16th, will use a best-of-seven format, with a third-place match also on the agenda.
