While Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered prioritizes action gameplay, it also offers extensive weapon and outfit customization. You can tailor outfits for stealth, melee combat, or ranged attacks. However, wouldn't it be great to combine the benefits of multiple outfits? You can! This guide explains how, along with the limitations.

Remastered Version of Horizon Zero Dawn Required

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered The ability to combine the effects of two outfits is exclusive to *Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered*. A recent patch added a transmog feature, letting you retain one outfit's stats while visually wearing another. No more sacrificing style for superior stats!

Pre-Requisite for the Two Outfit Method

Banuk Werak Outfits This technique isn't universal. While your primary outfit can be any you choose, the second *must* be one of these three:
  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)

Note: These outfits are located in the Frozen Wilds DLC area, accessible without completing the main game.

How to Get Banuk Werak Outfits in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Banuk Werak Runner

Reach the Frozen Wilds expansion area (defeat the new machine if necessary; adjust difficulty or upgrade gear if needed). Locate a Bluegleam Merchant (blue merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept

For the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, complete the "For the Werak" quest (the third main quest in Frozen Wilds DLC). This can be challenging; consider lowering the difficulty to Story mode if needed. The Adept version is acquired the same way, but only in New Game Plus.

You don't need to complete all Frozen Wilds content after obtaining the second outfit.

What to Do to Get the Effects of Two Outfits

Combining Outfit Effects First, equip your desired outfit (the one with the stats you want; improve stats with Weaves if necessary). Then, use the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. While these outfits don't add stats, they provide automatic healing after taking damage.

This combines your chosen outfit's stats with the auto-healing perk of the Banuk Werak outfits. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer significantly faster healing than the Runner. If using the Shield Weaver outfit, this combination makes you nearly invincible.
