Bright Blood, the most abundant resource in Hyper Light Breaker, is obtained by defeating enemies, smashing breakable objects, and unlocking crates throughout the Overgrowth. Additionally, you can exchange gear for Bright Blood with vendors at the Hub.
Bright Blood serves multiple purposes, including:
- Retrieving Blades and Rails from defeated foes in the Overgrowth.
- Unlocking Stashes and other containers in the Overgrowth.
- Buying new gear from vendors located in both the Overgrowth and Hub.
- Enhancing gear at the Hub's vendors.
How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker
Gold Rations are earned by successfully completing Cycles. Initially, completing a Cycle might involve exhausting all four Rezes, leading to death. Once your Rezes are depleted, seek out the NPC at the Telepad in the Hub to reset the Overgrowth and progress towards earning Gold Rations.
Gold Rations are integral to the meta-progression system, used to unlock permanent upgrades via Pherus Bit at the Hub. They also allow access to new services from the Hub's vendors.
How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker
Abyss Stones are gained by defeating Crowns, formidable bosses accessible through gates in the Overgrowth. To engage these bosses, you'll need to collect Prism, which are marked by yellow diamonds on the in-game map.
Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones contribute to meta-progression. They're used to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation, enhancing your performance in future adventures.
How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker
Keys are sporadically found within small containers scattered across the Overgrowth, often unmarked on the in-game map, adding a layer of challenge to their acquisition.
These Keys are essential for bypassing barriers in the Overgrowth, granting access to Stashes and other valuable loot containers. They're also your ticket into Labs, underground zones filled with enemies and collectibles.
How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker
MediGems are vital for survival, harvested from glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. These gems are crucial for obtaining Medkits, available both at the Hub's Telepad and at Shrines within the Overgrowth.
To utilize MediGems, you must first expand your Medkit capacity to one. This is achieved by visiting Pherus Bit at the Hub and spending one Gold Ration to unlock the Medkit Capacity node.
How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker
Cores, another meta-progression resource, are found in Stashes marked by chest icons on the map within the Overgrowth. Alternatively, Cores can be assembled from four Core Shards, which you can gather from defeating Prism-awarding enemies or by scavenging unmarked objects like bone piles.
During loadout confirmation, Cores are used to upgrade your Sycom, enhancing your Breaker's stats for better performance in the Overgrowth.
How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker
Materials are primarily acquired by using Bright Blood to unlock small chests in the Overgrowth, typically indicated by gems on the in-game map. You can also gain additional Materials by selling gear at the Hub.
Materials are used to purchase gear from vendors in both the Hub and Overgrowth, serving a role similar to Bright Blood but with more targeted applications.
