Iansan Teaser and Varesa Unveiled in Genshin Impact 5.5

Excitement is brewing in the world of Genshin Impact as the developers at miHoYo (HoYoverse) have begun teasing a new character for the upcoming update 5.5. While leaks had already surfaced, the official reveal of Varesa has set the community abuzz. Varesa is set to join the roster as a 5-star Electro character, wielding a Catalyst in battle.

Iansan, a familiar NPC, describes Varesa with affection:

"Varesa, my most peculiar student… No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature. No matter where she travels, she’s like a child on an adventure—always searching for delicious treats or a cozy spot to rest... But beware! If you ever fight Abyss monsters with her, the moment she gets into the zone, she turns into an unstoppable force!"

Alongside Varesa, another character is making the leap from NPC to playable hero in update 5.5: Iansan. She will be a 4-star Electro user, wielding a Polearm. Varesa shares her admiration for Iansan:
