Introducing Galar Pokémon in Latest Expansion Event

The Steely Resolve event in Pokémon GO, running from January 21st to 26th, marks the highly anticipated debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight. This addition expands the game's Galar region Pokémon roster.

The arrival was initially hinted at in December 2024's Dual Destiny Season loading screen, showcasing Rookidee and Corviknight before their official announcement. The Steely Resolve event will feature the trio's introduction alongside various gameplay enhancements.

Event Highlights:

• New Pokémon: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight will make their Pokémon GO debut.
• Special Research: A new Dual Destiny Special Research storyline with exclusive rewards will be available.
• Field Research: New Field Research tasks will offer opportunities to encounter these new Pokémon and others.
• Shiny Pokémon: Increased chances to encounter shiny versions of several Pokémon, including Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and more.
• Bonuses: Magnetic Lure Modules will attract Pokémon like Onix, Beldum, and Rookidee. Charged TMs can remove the Frustration Charged Attack from Shadow Pokémon. Increased spawn rates for ten Pokémon including Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Carbink.

• Event Duration: January 21st, 10:00 AM to January 26th, 8:00 PM local time.
• Special Research: A paid timed research for $5 will also be available.
• Raid Battles: One-star, five-star (featuring Deoxys and Dialga), and Mega Raids will offer chances to catch powerful Pokémon.
• Eggs: 2km Eggs will have a chance to hatch Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, and Rookidee.
• Featured Attacks: Evolutionary lines such as Machoke, Croconaw, Wooper, Lickitung, Corvisquire, and Paldean Wooper will learn special attacks when evolved during the event.

GO Battle League:

• GO Battle Week: Dual Destiny: January 21st, 12:00 AM to January 26th, 11:59 PM local time.
• Bonuses: 4x Stardust from win rewards, increased daily battle sets (from 5 to 20), and free battle-themed Timed Research.
• Leagues: Master League, Great League, Ultra League will be active with 4x Stardust bonuses.
