Jump King, the 2D platformer renowned for its challenging gameplay and potential for epic rage-quits, has officially made its way to mobile devices. Developed by Nexile and published by UKIYO Publishing, the game has now been released globally for both Android and iOS platforms following a successful soft launch in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark back in March.
Originally launched on PC in 2019 and consoles in 2020, Jump King retains its signature brutal jumping mechanics on mobile. The game's premise is simple yet demanding: you control a knight in armor whose sole purpose is to jump. Precision is key; one misstep and you'll fall back to the start, thanks to the autosave feature that triggers after every jump.
What’s Jump King on Mobile Like?
In Jump King, your mission is to ascend to the top to meet the elusive Smoking Hot Babe of Legend. However, there are no shortcuts here. Every leap must be meticulously timed and executed, or you'll find yourself plummeting to the bottom, forcing you to start over.
The mobile version has been tailored to ensure the controls are as precise as on other platforms. Players simply need to hold to charge their jump and release to soar. This game tests your precision, patience, and sometimes, your ability to make split-second decisions under pressure.
What Else Should You Know?
Jump King Mobile operates on a heart-based system. You begin with 300 hearts, losing one each time you fall. To replenish your hearts, you can spin a daily fortune wheel for a chance to win between 10 and 150 hearts, or watch ads to earn up to 150 free hearts.
The mobile version comes packed with two full expansions. New Babe+ introduces a second chapter with a bizarre and intense new path, while Ghost of the Babe offers a chilling third act set in a hauntingly empty landscape beyond the Philosopher's Forest.
If Jump King piques your interest, you can download it now from the Google Play Store.
