NBC Universal has unveiled the final trailer for *Jurassic World Rebirth*, giving fans an exhilarating glimpse into the film's core elements and showcasing both classic and newly introduced dinosaurs. This latest installment, featuring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, follows an extraction team on a perilous mission to the world's most hazardous location—an island that once served as a research facility for the original Jurassic Park, now overrun by the most dangerous dinosaurs left behind. Directed by Gareth Edwards, known for *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story*, the screenplay is penned by David Koepp, the original writer of *Jurassic Park*.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. The survivors are confined to isolated equatorial regions, mimicking the climates where they once flourished. Within this tropical biosphere, the three most colossal creatures across land, sea, and air possess DNA that holds the key to a revolutionary drug promising miraculous life-saving benefits for humanity.

Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert hired to lead a top-secret mission to retrieve this vital genetic material. When Zora's mission crosses paths with a civilian family whose boat was overturned by aggressive aquatic dinosaurs, they find themselves stranded on a forbidden island that once housed a secretive Jurassic Park research facility. Amidst a landscape teeming with diverse dinosaur species, they uncover a sinister and shocking secret that has been concealed from the world for decades.

The final trailer offers several thrilling highlights, including a scene reminiscent of Michael Crichton's original *Jurassic Park* novel—a river raft sequence that was omitted from the 1993 film. David Koepp, returning to the franchise, drew inspiration from re-reading Crichton's novels, incorporating elements that were previously unused. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp shared. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"

Can a T-Rex swim? Yes, it turns out.

The trailer also introduces a range of new dinosaurs, including a closer look at the 'D-Rex,' officially named Distortus Rex. This mutant creature, a hybrid between a T-Rex and a Rancor from Star Wars, was described by Edwards as, "It’s kind of like if the T-Rex was designed by H.R. Giger, and then that whole thing had sex with a Rancor."

This is the Distortus Rex, aka the D-Rex. Rancor vibes?

Additionally, the trailer features winged Mutadons, which Koepp describes as "a combination of a pterosaur and a Raptor."

Jurassic Park always has a terrifying raptor scene. This time, there are Mutadons.
