Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive

Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia fueled speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.

This led to online attacks against the developers, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the allegations, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.

Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's completion in early December. These codes are anticipated to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.

Interestingly, initial "final previews," based on review copies, are expected to surface just a week later.
