Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by shedding any excess loot and gearing up. In my opinion, a Rifle is an excellent choice here, costing just $75 and packing enough punch to fend off most threats, at least temporarily. Don't forget to purchase the necessary coal to power your boat, given its old-school engine.

The next town is 10,000m away, so simply start your journey. While you can stop to take out Zombies and Drowned for loot, it's generally not worth it due to the minimal rewards in the side houses. To restart your ship, just add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side and wait until the second safe zone to sell your items, but watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs along the riverbanks.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. If you're with friends, clear them out; otherwise, it's not worth the time due to unpredictable spawn points. At around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned and valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use it wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips and Tricks
By now, you're familiar with the routine: kill, loot, repeat and hope the enemy suffers defeat. To excel, focus on efficiency by using your boat as your primary inventory. Clear your bag when you return to the boat to save time and space.

A helpful strategy is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While it's tempting to escape the backwater towns quickly, efficient loot stacking can significantly boost your progress. Running low on fuel? Just toss a few Zombies into the incinerator.

Another useful tip is to be cautious in Sheriff's offices. These locations often have a higher concentration of mobs but also offer substantial rewards like weapons and ammo. I managed to keep my shotgun stocked by having a friend clear the ground floor in each town we visited.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress around 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it prone to ambushes. I recommend bringing at least three more players, with a five-player team being ideal. Be efficient when collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m; they're incredibly strong and require a lot of ammo to defeat safely. Plan your stops wisely; loot isn't everything.
The town past 50,000m is one of my favorite farming spots, boasting at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. If you have friends with Shotguns or a Sawn-off, it's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.

In the final safe zone, sell all your items and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't go easy on Zombies and Drowned; you'll need at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during the final stretch. Around 100,000m, you'll reach open waters, ready to face the beast. The sign of its arrival is the darkening skies.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must choose a tentacle to attack. The boss has significant health, and each tentacle can deal damage if not countered effectively. If you have five players, form a pentagram-like shape and each focus on a different tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which causes AoE damage. It's telegraphed by the Kraken pulling back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, be cautious of the Roar AoE, which causes minor, unblockable damage and may slightly buff the boss's damage. You'll recognize it by the white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.

As you can see, while it may seem daunting, it's manageable with the right strategy. That concludes my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. For even faster progress, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes. Good luck and enjoy your journey across the Seven Seas!
