Lenovo Has One of the Most Powerful Gaming Laptops That You Can Get for Under $2,000

Ahead of the holiday season, Lenovo is offering the lowest price I've seen for one of its RTX 5070 Ti-equipped gaming laptops. Right now, you can get the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 10 gaming laptop, featuring an OLED display and RTX 5070 Ti GPU, for just $1,764.99 after applying coupon code: "EXTRAFIVE". That’s a total savings of $705. Lenovo Legion laptops are highly rated for their excellent build quality, powerful components, and robust cooling.

Update: I recommend upgrading to 32GB of RAM for just $45 more.

The Legion Pro features an aluminum top lid and a durable plastic bottom chassis. The display is stunning, thanks to the true OLED panel with razor-sharp 2.5K (189ppi) resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, HDR 1000 True Black certification, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. This 2025 model also upgrades to Wi-Fi 7. The Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX is a top-performing CPU

The Legion Pro 5i is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX Arrow Lake-HX processor, featuring a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz, 24 cores, and 40MB total L2 cache. According to Passmark, it’s the second most powerful Intel mobile CPU available today, matching AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX in performance.

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU outperforms the RTX 4080 mobile

The Legion Pro 5 offers a more robust cooling system than the standard Legion 5, enabling it to handle powerful GPUs like the RTX 5070 Ti—essential for smooth gaming at the display’s enhanced 2560x1600 resolution. The RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU is a significant leap over the 4070 Ti, delivering performance on par with the RTX 4080 and surpassing it in games that support DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation (the RTX 4080 only supports DLSS 3). You’d need to spend hundreds more to step up to an RTX 5080.
