Lords of the Fallen 2 Arrives in 2026

by Sophia Dec 12,2025

CI Games has shared what players can anticipate for Lords of the Fallen 2 at Gamescom's Opening Night Live, explaining that the sequel has been heavily influenced by community input following the original game's initially challenging launch reception.

Developed as a completely standalone follow-up to 2023's Lords of the Fallen, this sequel, powered by Unreal Engine 5, invites players to explore dual parallel worlds—featuring an expanded Umbral realm—and includes shared campaign progression in online cooperative play.

"Having sold more than two million copies and welcomed over 5.5 million Lampbearers into Lords of the Fallen, it's evident our resurgence was fueled by our community," stated Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games. "With Lords of the Fallen 2, we're pushing even further. In 2024, we proudly declared our profound commitment to being a player-first studio. The V2.0 update demonstrated that promise in motion: listening, responding, and delivering. This sequel is constructed upon that very same foundation."

Additional details confirmed today incorporate optional Player vs. Player (PvP) modes and customizable game modifiers.
