"How to Obtain Lunacy in Limbus Company"

by Nicholas May 28,2025

In Limbus Company, Lunacy serves as the premium currency, essential for acquiring new Identities and EGOs. It's the cornerstone of the game's gacha system, and amassing Lunacy is key to unlocking a variety of character variants.

Similar to other gacha games, Lunacy is plentiful at the start of your journey in Limbus Company. However, as you progress, the rate at which you earn it begins to decline.

How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company

Limbus Company Gameplay

For newcomers, diving into the main story is the most effective way to earn Lunacy. Completing each chapter can reward you with about 390 Lunacy, and achieving an EX rating on missions can add another 260 Lunacy to your stash. To get an EX clear, you must meet all the specific EX objectives for that mission. The first time you achieve an EX clear on a mission, you'll receive an extra 40 Lunacy, so it's worth striving to meet those objectives.

Additionally, clearing Luxcavation stages for the first time will also grant you Lunacy, though these rewards are one-time only.

Once you've exhausted the main story quests, your Lunacy acquisition will begin to slow down. At this point, consider these methods to continue earning Lunacy:

  • Complete or EX clear event stages.
  • Engage in Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
  • Upgrade your Identities through Uptying.
  • Reap rewards from the battle pass.
  • Opt for direct purchases.

Boosted Mirror Dungeons are likely to be your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can participate in up to three of these dungeons weekly, earning a total of 750 Lunacy. These dungeons reset every Wednesday, so be sure to tackle them with your strongest Identities as they can be quite challenging.

Events offer another excellent opportunity to earn Lunacy, but they're time-limited. Make the most of these events when they're available, and don't forget to check all the event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any bonuses.

Uptying involves upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. As you advance through Uptie tiers, your characters grow stronger, and reaching Uptie Tier 3 nets you 40 Lunacy. While this method has a finite yield, it's a long-term goal for Lunacy accumulation since it takes time to elevate non-default Sinner Identities to Uptie 3. Keep leveling up your characters and gather Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.

Lastly, the game's battle passes provide a wealth of resources to enhance your Sinners, including Lunacy. While the free track offers some rewards, unlocking all the benefits requires a real-money investment.
