Mortal Kombat 1 Feisty Old Lady Madam Bo Joins as the Latest Kameo Fighter

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled early footage of a new Kameo fighter coming to the game in March. Read on to find out more about Madam Bo and what she’s bringing to the game!

Mortal Kombat 1 Welcomes Madam Bo

Mortal Kombat 1 has just launched the official trailer for the newest Kameo fighter in its ranks, none other than Fengjian Teahouse’s owner, Madam Bo. She, along with a villainous guest character, T-1000 from the Terminator 2 film, will arrive on March 18th, 2025, as part of the Kombat Pack 2 and the Khaos Reigns expansion.

Prior to her debut as an assist character, Madam Bo was featured in Mortal Kombat 1’s story mode, where she was beaten by Lin Kuei assassin Smoke as punishment for not paying up protection money. However, it was revealed that it was all just a ruse to get Raiden and Kung Lao ready for the tournament. Don’t let her looks fool you; Madam Bo herself is a formidable opponent, being a former associate of the Lin Kuei faction as well as a skilled martial artist, mentoring the two aforementioned champions.

The gameplay footage features Madam Bo fighting alongside her pupils, assisting them with powerful kicks and punches, topped off with a glorious smashing of glass bottles and a unique finishing fatality that cleanly kicks the opponent’s head off their shoulders, then catches it perfectly on a tea tray.

As mentioned before, alongside Madam Bo’s addition on March 18th comes the cold and cunning shapeshifting antagonist of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, T-1000. This advanced cybernetic killing machine made of liquid metal will debut in the Mortal Kombat franchise as a playable character, making use of its shapeshifting powers to attack opponents with a sharp sword or a fully-armed machine gun.

Madam Bo and T-1000’s introductions as characters are part of the new Mortal Kombat 1 expansion and DLC, Khaos Reigns. The expansion introduces a new story campaign that lengthens Liu Kang’s New Era plot, alongside an all-new cinematic experience. Players will discover how he rallies his champions against the ruthless Titan Havik, who threatens the world and the New Era as they know it.

The additional Kameo fighter pack, Kombat Pack 2, features several new characters, some new and some returning cast from previous titles. The Kombat Pack 2 DLC’s inclusions were spread out in release dates, starting with the comeback of Sektor, Noob Saibot, and Cyrax last September 2024. Their return was followed by slasher film Scream’s Ghostface in November and most recently, Conan the Barbarian in January 2025. Madam Bo and Terminator 2’s T-1000 will be added to the roster later this month.
