Marvel Rivals follows the footsteps of Overwatch with its Spring Festival event

Marvel Rivals' Spring Festival event kicks off this Thursday! Get ready for a free Star-Lord costume and a brand-new game mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. This 3v3 mode challenges teams to score a ball in their opponents' net.

While the gameplay might evoke comparisons to Rocket League, it bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball, its inaugural special event mode. This comparison is particularly interesting, as Marvel Rivals is currently outperforming Overwatch and needs unique content to establish its own identity and differentiate itself from its Blizzard counterpart. Ironically, its major launch event features a strikingly similar game mode. The key difference lies in the thematic presentation: Overwatch's Lucioball had an Olympic Games theme, while Marvel Rivals' version boasts a distinct Chinese New Year atmosphere.

The wait is short—the Spring Festival event begins very soon!
