Marvel Rivals Fans Are Using the Invisible Woman to Detect Alleged Bot Matches

by Mila Mar 16,2025

The newly released Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals is unexpectedly revealing a potential problem: bot opponents. For weeks, players have suspected NetEase Games of using low-level AI to maintain engagement. This suspicion intensified with Season 1's introduction of Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman last Friday. The new heroes didn't just shake up the meta; they exposed a peculiar glitch.

Reddit user barky1616 shared a video demonstrating a surprising use of Invisible Woman's invisibility. The video shows Sue Storm blocking enemy bots simply by standing invisibly in their path. The bots seemingly fail to recognize the obstruction, continuing to collide with her until she becomes visible. This bizarre behavior has fueled the ongoing bot debate within the Marvel Rivals community.

While this Invisible Woman tactic might not work consistently, the video raises concerns about the prevalence of bots. NetEase has yet to confirm or deny the presence of AI opponents in Marvel Rivals matches. IGN has contacted NetEase for comment.

Despite the bot controversy, Season 1's content update is generally well-received. The first half of the Fantastic Four is now playable, with The Thing and Human Torch set to arrive soon. Alongside the new characters, players are also discussing the recent balance changes, NetEase's anti-mod efforts, and the surprisingly underwhelming reception of Mister Fantastic.
