Marvel Rivals Season 1 Unveils the Mystical Sanctum Sanctorum Map
Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, introduces a thrilling new map: the Sanctum Sanctorum. This iconic location will host the new Doom Match mode, a chaotic free-for-all battle for 8-12 players where the top half emerge victorious.
Beyond the Sanctum Sanctorum, players can also anticipate Midtown and Central Park as new additions to the game's roster. Midtown will be the backdrop for a fresh convoy mission, while Central Park's details remain shrouded in mystery, slated for a mid-season update.
A recently released video provides a captivating sneak peek at the Sanctum Sanctorum's unique design. The opulent décor is juxtaposed with bizarre, surreal elements—a floating kitchen with a monstrous squid emerging from the fridge, winding staircases, levitating bookshelves, and mystical artifacts. Even a portrait of Doctor Strange himself adds a touch of whimsical charm. The video also offers a first look at Wong, a beloved character making his debut in the game, and Doctor Strange's spectral canine companion, Bats.
The Sanctum Sanctorum serves as the battleground for a season dominated by Dracula, the main antagonist. With Doctor Strange temporarily absent, the Fantastic Four step up to defend New York City. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman join the fight at Season 1's launch, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving later in a substantial mid-season update. The level of detail and the exciting new content have generated considerable anticipation among players.
