Marvel Uniting: Mobile Games Crossover Extravaganza in January

by Leo Jan 11,2025

NetEase's Marvel Rivals is crossing over with popular Marvel mobile games! A collaboration between the console/PC hero shooter Marvel Rivals and mobile titles Marvel Puzzle Quest, Marvel Future Fight, and Marvel Snap is set to launch January 3rd. While details are scarce, a significant crossover event is anticipated.

This isn't NetEase's first foray into Marvel mobile gaming. Earlier this month, Marvel Snap featured characters from Marvel Rivals, such as Galacta and Peni Parker, highlighting the synergy between the franchises.

A New Kind of Competition

While calling Marvel Rivals an "Overwatch killer" might be an overstatement, its popularity is undeniable. This crossover has the potential to significantly boost the mobile games' player bases, a unique twist on the typical console/PC-to-mobile crossover dynamic.

The collaboration is particularly fitting given that Luna Snow, a key character in Marvel Rivals, originated in Marvel Future Fight before appearing in the comics. Given NetEase's recent holiday success, expect a substantial crossover event.
