"Mastering the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.: Acquisition and Usage Guide"

by Ryan Apr 11,2025

In the chilling universe of *R.E.P.O.*, your survival hinges on the items you collect, determining whether you advance or face the daunting Disposal Arena with your team. Among these crucial items, Recharge Drones stand out as essential tools for success. Here's a comprehensive guide on obtaining and utilizing these vital assets.

What Recharge Drones Do

In *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter various items at the Service Station, some of which are single-use, like Mines and Grenades, while others, including Recharge Drones, possess a "battery life" that can be replenished using Energy Crystals. When you start your journey in *R.E.P.O.*, you'll notice a container in your truck designed for recharging weapons and drones. This process, however, consumes an Energy Crystal.

Purchasing additional Energy Crystals results in them being automatically integrated into the container, ensuring a seamless recharging experience. To recharge a depleting item, simply place it in the yellow bucket adjacent to the container, and watch it regain its vitality. This method is invaluable for maintaining your gear in peak condition, readying you for the horrors of the next level.

Certain levels in *R.E.P.O.* can be particularly taxing, causing your items to wear down rapidly. While you can recharge them using Energy Crystals upon reaching a new location, the convenience of having your truck nearby isn't always guaranteed. This is where the Recharge Drone becomes indispensable, allowing you to manage your items' energy levels efficiently, no matter where you are.

How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in *R.E.P.O.*

The Recharge Drone, like other items and upgrades, becomes available at the Service Station after successfully completing a level. This is your opportunity to equip yourself with the necessary tools to tackle the upcoming challenges, provided you have the funds.

Given that items at the Service Station spawn randomly, it might take several visits before the Recharge Drone appears. Once it does, you can purchase this essential gadget for between $4-5K. It occupies one of your inventory slots, so you'll need to assign it a number (1, 2, or 3) after buying it.

You can monitor your items' health through the battery bar displayed beneath them. To recharge an item, select the Recharge Drone, activate it by pressing 'E', and then attach the depleted item. Let the drone work its magic! Once the drone's battery is depleted, you can recharge it using Energy Crystals back at your truck's container.

Armed with this knowledge, you're now better prepared to navigate the terrifying landscapes of *R.E.P.O.* with the aid of the Recharge Drone, ensuring your gear remains in fighting shape against the game's relentless horrors.
