Minccino Wearing a Costume Joins Pokémon GO

The Pokémon GO Fashion Week event is back, bringing returning costumed Pokémon and a stylish newcomer: Minccino and Cinccino in fashionable attire! This limited-time event offers a chance to add these new costumed Pokémon to your collection.

When to Catch Costumed Minccino in Pokémon GO

The Fashion Week 2025 event, featuring costumed Minccino and Cinccino (sporting rhinestone glasses and bows), ran from January 10th to 19th, 2025. Shiny Costume Minccino was available, but a Shiny Costume Cinccino was not. The event also included costumed versions of Butterfree, Dragonite, Diglett, Blitzle, Kirlia, Shinx, and various Furfrou forms.

How to Acquire Costumed Minccino

Unlike previous events, obtaining the costumed Minccino was slightly more challenging. It was available through two primary methods:

One-Star Raids

Costume Minccino appeared in One-Star Raids during the event. While these raids are generally soloable, competition with other trainers seeking costumed Shinx and Furfrou (also featured in One-Star Raids) meant securing a Minccino raid could require some effort.

Paid Timed Research

A paid Timed Research ticket ($5 USD or equivalent) offered guaranteed encounters with Costume Minccino, along with XP, Stardust, and a new avatar pose. This was the most reliable method to obtain this Pokémon.

Field Research Tasks

While event-themed Pokémon encounters were offered through Field Research Tasks, Niantic did not specify which Pokémon were included, leaving the possibility of encountering Minccino to chance.

Obtaining Costumed Cinccino

To get a costumed Cinccino, players needed to evolve a costumed Minccino using 50 Minccino Candies and a Unova Stone.
