by Scarlett Oct 21,2025
  • Moshi Monsters is making a comeback – well, kind of!
  • Mind Candy's new Kickstarter campaign could revive this beloved MMORPG
  • The mobile version promises deeper storytelling while keeping fan-favorite elements

Few gaming franchises stir up British nostalgia quite like Moshi Monsters. These quirky creatures once dominated TV ads, magazines, and computer screens everywhere. Now, original creators Mind Candy might be bringing them back.

The developer's new Kickstarter aims to modernize the classic Flash MMORPG for mobile devices. According to their campaign, players will revisit Monstro City after its destruction by a mysterious asteroid, working to rebuild their digital homeland.

Players can choose from the six original Moshi Monsters, caring for their virtual pets just like before. The experience combines a fresh narrative adventure with classic minigames and beloved MMORPG features – all while reconstructing the iconic Monstro City.

Totally monsterific!

Mobile gaming owes much to Flash gaming's legacy. Early portals like Newgrounds and Miniclip introduced countless players to gaming, with many Flash innovations becoming mobile staples.

Moshi Monsters' revival will test whether nostalgia alone can breathe life into retired franchises. Fans can support Mind Candy's Kickstarter before its August 15th deadline.
