Monitor Your Fortnite Spending: A Guide to Tracking Your V-Buck Expenses

Fortnite is free, but its enticing skins can lead to unexpected V-Buck purchases. This guide shows you how to track your spending and avoid financial surprises.

How to Check Your Fortnite Spending

There are two main ways to check your Fortnite spending: via your Epic Games Store account and using a third-party website. Regularly monitoring your spending is crucial to prevent shock when reviewing your bank statements. Why? Because seemingly small purchases can quickly accumulate.

Checking Your Epic Games Store Account

All V-Buck purchases, regardless of platform or payment method, are recorded in your Epic Games Store account. Here's how to access this information:

  1. Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Account," then "Transactions."
  4. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transactions, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  5. Identify V-Buck purchases (e.g., "5,000 V-Bucks"). Note the V-Bucks amount and the corresponding currency value.
  6. Use a calculator to sum your total V-Bucks and currency spent.

Important Notes: Free Epic Games Store games will also appear in your transactions. V-Buck card redemptions might not show a dollar amount.

Using Fortnite.gg

As reported by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers another method, though it requires manual input:

  1. Go to Fortnite.gg and log in or create an account.
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each purchased outfit and item from your Cosmetics section (click on an item, then "+ Locker"). You can also search for items.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your owned cosmetics.
  5. Use a V-Buck to USD calculator to estimate your total spending.

Neither method is completely foolproof, but they offer the best current options for tracking your Fortnite spending.

Fortnite is available on multiple platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
