Niantic has revealed the first details for Monster Hunter Now's Season Six, titled "Scarlet Gaze in the Gloam," which launches on June 19, 2025. This season introduces a range of new weapons, skills, and original challenges.
New Riftborne Monsters Are Here!
Season Six of Monster Hunter Now introduces Riftborne monsters—creatures mutated by strange environmental rifts.
Joining the Riftborne roster at the start of Season Six are Rathian, Tobi-Kadachi, and Barroth. These enhanced variants appear at 8-star difficulty and higher.
Also arriving is the hunting horn, a new weapon type designed to help you face escalated threats and take on fresh challenges. This versatile instrument delivers both offensive power and valuable support to your allies.
Here's how it works: as you attack, you build up notes. By arranging these notes in specific sequences, you activate different melody effects.
These effects can raise your attack and defense, speed up your Special Gauge, and more. For example, the Magnificent Trio (SP) ability refreshes the duration of any active melody.
What Else Is in Store in Monster Hunter Now Season Six?
A new feature called style customization is also being introduced. This system enables a deep modification to weapon behavior, allowing you to upgrade weapons of grade 8 or higher to improve your stats.
Season Five is coming to an end after bringing creatures such as Glavenus to the game. Now, get ready to track down and battle Nargacuga, along with Beotodus, Bishaten, and Great Wroggi. You will also encounter monsters including Jyuratodus, Anjanath, and Barioth.
Plenty of customization options are available as well. Each weapon will receive two unique new styles. Your chosen style modifies both long-press actions and combo sequences.
