Monster Train: A Slay the Spire-Inspired Game Now on Android

Monster Train, a captivating roguelite deck-building game, has now made its way to Android devices. Initially launched on PC in 2020, it later expanded to consoles and iOS in 2022, and is now accessible to Android users. Often compared to Slay the Spire due to its genre and gameplay, Monster Train brings a unique twist to the deck-building experience.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

In Monster Train, players embark on a thrilling journey aboard a train destined for the heart of hell, tasked with safeguarding the last burning pyre from celestial invaders. What sets this game apart is its innovative use of three vertical lanes, allowing players to manage battles across multiple fronts simultaneously, unlike traditional single-battlefield games.

As you progress, you'll unlock over 250 cards and have the opportunity to explore five distinct monster clans. Each clan offers a unique playstyle, and you can combine two clans to create diverse strategies. Furthermore, each clan features ten levels of upgrades, enabling you to enhance your cards the more you use them. Champions, crucial to your success, can be upgraded multiple times to bolster your deck's strength.

The Android version of Monster Train is packed with all the latest updates, including Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes. Wild Mutations introduces 35 new mutators and new difficulty settings, while Friends & Foes enriches the game with new champions, bosses, cards, and artifacts. Additionally, The Last Divinity DLC enhances replayability with the new Wurmkin clan, unlocked after defeating Covenant level 1. This DLC also introduces the Pact Shards mechanic, offering increased power and a challenging final boss, 'The Last Divinity.'

Will You Try It Out?

Monster Train on Android is designed for offline play, even in airplane mode, making it perfect for gaming on the go. The full version is available for $10, with in-app purchases primarily for unlocking the complete game. Once purchased through your Google account, your progress seamlessly transfers across devices thanks to cloud saves. However, note that there is no controller support. Dive into the action by exploring it on the Google Play Store.
