The standard iPad (not Air, Mini, or Pro) remains Apple's most compelling value proposition—delivering peak iOS performance at an accessible price point. Released March 12, 2025, this generation improves upon its 2022 predecessor with a robust A16 processor (+38% faster), 6GB RAM (up from 4GB), and double the base storage at 128GB. Remarkably, its $349 launch price undercuts the previous model by $50.

Key retained features include the vibrant 10.9" Liquid Retina display (264ppi), USB-C charging, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and identical cameras. It maintains compatibility with Apple's Magic Folio keyboard—transforming into a productivity powerhouse—alongside support for the newer USB-C Apple Pencil, cementing its status as our top student iPad pick.

2025 Apple iPad Air (M3) – Exclusive $100 Discount

Amazon currently offers unprecedented pricing on seventh-generation iPad Air models equipped with groundbreaking M3 silicon. The 11" variant drops to $499 ($100 off), while the expansive 13" model hits $699—both representing all-time lows for these March 2025 releases. While retaining last year's industrial design, the sole meaningful upgrade comes via the leap from M2 to M3 architecture.
