NieR: Automata features a wide array of enemies, many of which drop valuable materials for upgrading your pod and weapons. While most materials are acquired naturally, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints a high-yield location for Warped Wire.

Farming Warped Wire in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are uncommon, but concentrated in a specific area. The most efficient farming location is near the Desert Camp access point.

After fast traveling to Desert Camp, proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse a mountainous region following a pipe through some ruins. This area consistently spawns multiple stacked bipedal machines.

Focus on the two small clearings near the destroyed buildings. These clearings contain the highest concentration of stacked machines, which have a decent Warped Wire drop rate. You'll typically obtain one or two Warped Wires per clearing. Equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly improves efficiency.
