Official: Dungeonborne is preparing to shut down

Dungeonborne, a PvPvE action game reminiscent of Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Developers have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, effective May 28th. The game, launched less than a year ago, failed to maintain a substantial player base due to low player activity and a lack of substantial updates.

While the Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The exact reasons for the closure haven't been publicly stated, but the extremely low player count is undoubtedly a significant factor. Concurrent player numbers dwindled to a mere 10-15 in recent days, after already falling below 200 since late 2024.

This marks the end of Dungeonborne's short lifespan. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game will not reach its full potential.
