Atlus producer Kazushi Wada reiterates the unlikelihood of the Persona 3 Portable female protagonist (FeMC), Kotone Shiomi/Minako Arisato, appearing in Persona 3 Reload. This decision, according to Wada in a recent PC Gamer interview, stems from significant development costs and time constraints.

While initially considered, incorporating the FeMC, even as post-launch DLC alongside Episode Aigis - The Answer, proved unfeasible. Wada emphasizes the considerable budgetary and scheduling challenges. He stated that adding the FeMC would have been far more demanding than developing the Aigis DLC, making its inclusion within the current timeframe impossible.

The February 2024 release of Persona 3 Reload, a comprehensive remake of the 2006 JRPG, notably omits Kotone/Minako, disappointing many fans. Despite fan requests, Wada's comments effectively rule out future inclusion. He previously expressed similar sentiments in a Famitsu interview, highlighting the prohibitive development time and cost.

The popularity of the FeMC in Persona 3 Portable fueled expectations for her appearance in Persona 3 Reload, either at launch or as DLC. However, Wada's definitive statements suggest this remains highly improbable.
