Pirates Outlaws 2: Epic Roguelike Returns

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the highly anticipated sequel to Fabled Game Studio's 2019 hit, Pirates Outlaws, is setting sail! This enhanced roguelike deck-builder promises a thrilling return to the high seas, boasting significant improvements over its predecessor. A full release is slated for 2025 on Android, iOS, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), with mobile players eagerly awaiting their chance to join the adventure. Before you embark, let's explore the exciting new features:

What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?

Prepare to take on the role of a brand-new hero, whose story unfolds years after the events of the original game. This hero starts with pre-built decks and unique abilities, laying the foundation for a personalized gameplay experience.

New additions include companions, each contributing their own special cards to your arsenal. A novel fusion mechanic allows you to combine three identical cards into a more powerful entity.

Deck progression is streamlined with an evolution tree, offering strategic choices for upgrading your cards. Even previously discarded cards can now be upgraded, adding depth and replayability. The acquisition of relics has been revamped; they are now found in markets, after boss battles, and during special events, rather than after every encounter.

Battles incorporate a new Countdown system, influencing enemy actions and adding a layer of strategic timing. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "ReDraw" mechanic. A new armor and shield system further enhances tactical combat options.

Dive into the action with the reveal trailer:

Are You Ready to Set Sail?

Despite the numerous enhancements, Pirates Outlaws 2 retains the core gameplay that made its predecessor a success. Expect the same engaging deck-building mechanics, challenging roguelike progression, and exciting seafaring adventures across Arena and Campaign modes. Familiar elements such as ammo management, diverse card combos, curses, and distinct enemy types are all present and accounted for.
