In Pokémon TCG Pocket, Sleep is a debilitating status condition. This guide explains what it does, how to cure it, and which cards inflict it.

Understanding Sleep in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Sleep renders a Pokémon unable to attack, use abilities, or retreat. An afflicted Pokémon becomes a vulnerable target.

Curing Sleep

There are three primary ways to wake a sleeping Pokémon:

  1. Coin Toss: Each turn, a coin toss determines if the Pokémon awakens. This is a chance-based method.
  2. Evolution: Evolving a sleeping Pokémon cures the Sleep condition.
  3. Koga Trainer Card: This card specifically allows you to return a sleeping Weezing or Muk to your hand.

The coin toss method's reliance on chance can be detrimental, potentially leaving your Pokémon incapacitated for multiple turns while your opponent advances. Strategic bench management and planning for alternative attackers are crucial.
