Eagle-eyed PlayStation fans believe Sony may have accidentally revealed the PS5 Pro during its 30th-anniversary celebrations. The evidence? A subtly placed image on Sony's website.
A Sneaky Reveal?
A PlayStation blog post featured an image containing a console design remarkably similar to leaked PS5 Pro renders. This detail, spotted by a keen observer in the background of the anniversary logo, has ignited speculation of an imminent PS5 Pro launch, possibly by month's end. Although Sony hasn't confirmed a State of Play event, whispers of a major reveal alongside a significant announcement later this month are circulating.
Meanwhile, the 30th Anniversary Festivities Continue
Sony is celebrating PlayStation's milestone anniversary with various player-centric events. These include a free Gran Turismo 7 trial, digital soundtracks from beloved classic games, and the "Shapes of Play" collection launching in December 2024 via direct.playstation.com (US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Benelux).
A free online multiplayer weekend (September 21st and 22nd) and esports tournaments are also planned, offering online multiplayer access for PS5 and PS4 owners without a PlayStation Plus subscription. Further details are promised in the coming days.
