Rockstar Games’ acclaimed PC action-adventure title Red Dead Redemption is arriving on Android. Yes, at last! A sequel to 2004’s Red Dead Revolver, it originally launched in 2010. On December 2nd, 2025, the game will debut on Android, iOS, and current-gen consoles including PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Red Dead Redemption unfolds during the twilight of the American frontier in 1911
The story picks up immediately after the events of the 2018 blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2. RDR2 serves as a prequel to RDR, set in 1899—twelve years before the original game. This is the lawless era of outlaws and gunslingers.
Returning to the narrative, you’ll follow former outlaw John Marston as he strives to sever his ties to a violent past. Federal agents coerce him into tracking down the very outlaws he once rode alongside. His journey spans vast stretches of the American West and Mexico.
The Android version of Red Dead Redemption will also include the major DLC Undead Nightmare. Set in a non-canonical, apocalyptic alternate world filled with ghost towns and zombie-infested cemeteries, Marston races to find a cure before the region is overrun by the undead.
